Alex's deepest inspiration was and continues to be a compulsion to create her own music. That compulsion has culminated in four albums of original music for guitar over the past 20 years (with a fifth currently in the works), touring and performing across Canada and the U.S.,soundtracks for several award winning documentaries, movies and television. Alex has received touring, recording and professional development grants from all levels of government and recently she was awarded a 1-month residency in the prestigious Charles Leighton Studios at the Banff Centre for the Performing Arts.
